Patrol Squadron Four Seven


CDR T. Ryan Davis is from San Clemente, California and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2001. He was designated as a Naval Aviator in 2003 with distinction.

CDR Davis has since accumulated over 3,500 flight hours and has deployed to every Geographic Combatant Commands’ area of responsibility.

CDR Davis’ operational tours include a junior officer and a department head tour flying the P-3 Orion with VP-4 in Oahu. He also served as Flag Secretary at Carrier Strike Group 11 onboard the NIMITZ, and as Aide de Camp to the Commander of U.S. Pacific Command. Most recently, CDR Davis is currently assigned as the Commanding Officer at VP-47, homeported at NAS Whidbey Island.

Ashore, CDR Davis served as an instructor pilot at VT-35 in Texas. Most recently, CDR Davis graduated with the highest distinction at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I.

CDR Davis has earned personal, campaign, and unit awards. All pale in comparison to the blessing of being married to Katie and the proud father of five amazing children.
