Patrol Squadron Four Seven


Master Chief Strebin was born in Danville, Illinois, and graduated from Tennessee Temple High School in 1986. He attended college for three years before joining the Navy in September 1990. Master Chief Strebin went to boot camp in Orlando, Florida and then attended AD “A” School in Millington, TN.

He reported to his first command the “Green Pawns” of VA-42 in Oceana, VA. He completed numerous deployments and was promoted to Petty Officer Third Class before leaving the Navy after 4 years.

He re-entered the Navy in 1996 and attended Cryptologic Technician Collection (CTR) “A” school in Pensacola, FL. After graduation, he transferred to NSGA Sabana Seca, PR and filled the positions of Operations Watch Supervisor and Mission Manager. He was promoted to CTR2 during this tour.

In 2000, after being promoted to CTR1, he was sent to Pensacola, FL for AIRCREW training and then on to SERE School. He then reported to NSGA Misawa, Japan. During this tour, he earned his Naval AIRCREWMAN wings and his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Device. He completed numerous deployments worldwide and accumulated over 3500 flight hours.

He transferred in 2004 to the Naval Strike and Warfare Center (NSAWC) in Fallon, NV. He was the Staff CTR to the Electronic Reconnaissance Weapons School (ERWS) at the Navy Fighter Weapons School. He was promoted to Chief Petty Officer during this tour and also earned his Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) designation, Master Training Specialist qualification and served as the LCPO for the Command and Control (C2) and Electronic Reconnaissance Department.

He reported to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Hawaii in 2007. He deployed to Iraq during this tour as the Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge of the Joint Expeditionary SIGINT Tactical Reconnaissance (JESTR) Detachment. Upon returning from Iraq, he served as Department LCPO and Senior Enlisted Leader and was promoted to Senior Chief.

After graduating from the Afloat Cryptologic Managers Course he deployed with Commander Carrier Strike Group Seven embarked onboard the USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN-76) as the Assistant Cryptologic Resource Coordinator. During this cruise, he earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Device.

Immediately following this deployment Master Chief Strebin earned his Enlisted Information Dominance Warfare Device and was promoted to his present rank and served as the Cryptologic Direct Support Senior Enlisted Leader.

In 2013 he reported to United States Fleet Cyber Command and United States TENTH Fleet where he served as the Inspector General Senior Enlisted Advisor and inspector and as the Staff Senior Enlisted Leader

January 2016, CMDCM Strebin reported to PATRON 47 for duty as the Command Master Chief.

Master Chief Strebin is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 169, Purple) and the Command Master Chief Course (Class 151) in Newport, R.I.

Master Chief Strebin’ s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (4 strike/flight), Navy Commendation Medal with “V” (4 awards), the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), as well as other personal, unit and service decorations.
